These paintings are freshly completed and  drying in the studio. Traditionally, a painter would wait up to six months before varnishing. However, I use Gamblin Gamvar varnish, a professional-grade varnish that can be safely applied after just a few weeks of drying, without compromising the long-term quality of the painting.
