A local scene and place where I used to visit as a child. There are many beautiful paths and trails to walk along the coast and be reminded by the natural beauty and scale of the area. These cliffs mark the edge of the country and are a symbol of the UK. I liked this angle in particular as it shows all seven of the sisters.

The cliffs are always changing and are affected by natural erosion. I liked the shape and colours of the white chalk cliffs against the blue of the sea and sky. It is a natural and unifying palette of colours that will match most modern decor. To me, the towering cliffs are a reminder of the awesome power and beauty of God’s creative force.

Artwork details

Canvas size: 30x 24 cm (11.81" x 9.45")

Canvas depth: 1.8cm (0.79")

Medium: Oil paint

Surface: Linen-treated canvas

Date of creation: 5th January 2026

Varnish: Gamblin Gamvar Satin varnish (12 September 2026)

Ready to Hang

As framing is a personal choice, please note that all paintings are sold and shipped as unframed, as standard shipping practice for Painted canvases.

This painting features a 2cm gallery-wrap profile and arrives ready to hang, unframed with D-rings and high-quality picture wire on the back of the wooden stretcher bars.
