It is purposefully colourful, whilst he remains calm and centred in his internal conversation. Much like me, he often retreated to the mountains to pray to His father, to connect and receive guidance. It is a testament to his endurance, suffering for mankind and praying for their redemption. Jesus is seen here seated and restful in prayer on top of a mountain, away from the noise of the world and physically closer to God. There is a slight wind blowing his hair back to reveal his face, which is calm and at peace. The setting sun forms a halo around his head, as he is also lit by his own light, as he is the light and saviour. The red landscape represents the holy blood that he will spill to save us all, as he was aware of his own suffering and the sacrifices he must make to save us.

As we pray, it opens our hearts to also connect with the Father and create our own unique relationship with Him.

Ready to Hang

As framing is a personal choice, please note that all paintings are sold and shipped as unframed, as standard shipping practice for Painted canvases.

This painting features a 2cm gallery-wrap profile and arrives ready to hang, unframed with D-rings and high-quality picture wire on the back of the wooden stretcher bars.
