I love the blue of the flowers and the overall natural composition of the small flowers. The shape of the branch at the bottom reminds me of hands in prayer, offering up the delicate flowers to be admired and enjoyed, as if cradling the petals as an offering of love and hope. The centre of each flower looks like a sun burst. As their name suggests, they do not last for very long, so I wanted to paint them as they can remain for longer and we do not forget the beauty of nature and Gods creation. In fact, my painting makes them bigger than real life, in true celebration of their intricate design.
